Head of Compliance – Asset Management

Are you a seasoned Compliance Professional seeking a leadership role in a globally recognized Asset Management firm? My client is currently hiring a Head of Compliance to join their team permanently.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Head of Compliance – UK
  • Responsibilities: Holding SMF 16, leading a team, overseeing compliance framework, providing guidance on regulatory and governance matters, delivering compliance reporting, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a compliance team to ensure a robust framework meeting UK regulatory requirements.
  2. Provide guidance to management on regulatory and governance matters.
  3. Oversee regulatory change framework for the UK business.
  4. Act as SMF 16 for three UK-regulated entities.
  5. Participate in governance committees and maintain policy documentation.
  6. Engage with regulatory bodies and represent the organisation at industry associations.
  7. Manage a small team of dedicated Compliance staff and collaborate with other global teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Highly experienced Compliance professional with extensive relevant experience in financial institutions or regulatory bodies.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European financial regulation.
  • Ability to understand and assess regulatory risks associated with investment funds and services.
  • SMF16 experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, both virtual and in the office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing international teams.
