Our client is an American-headquartered investment management firm. Due to continued growth and success, they are recruiting a Fixed Income Investment Specialist to assist in the analysis and development of investment portfolios.
Working in a rapidly developing environment with an exposure to various investment strategies and analysis techniques, the Fixed Income Investment Specialist will take responsibility for the following:
- Conducting analysis on assigned investment strategies while incorporating financial market conditions, competitor analysis, asset class characteristics, portfolio construction, and positioning.
- Creating custom analysis to anticipate client concerns or responding to pre-existing client inquiries.
- Contributing to a salesforce by providing general education, onboarding, one-on-one coaching, and the facilitation of quarterly meetings with distribution associates.
- Creating quality and nuanced investment messaging with a portfolio specialist to position results of analysis and inform key stakeholders.
- Developing relationships necessary in an often complex organizational structure and responding to client needs.
- Providing franchise support on RFPs as well as written commentaries on assigned strategy coverage.
- Supporting the full sales cycle which includes obtaining consultant ratings, prospecting, sales meeting preparation, real-time sales, finals, client service meeting follow-ups and client retention inquiries.
- Maintaining brand awareness globally by working with various enterprise groups.
The Fixed Income Investment Specialist will meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years Asset Management experience
- Holds the CFA or currently working towards the CFA
- Solid understanding of Fixed Income and corporate bonds and good knowledge of derivative instruments
- Personal interest in Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues
- Experience with market data services (Bloomberg, PORT, Haver) and advanced Excel skills
- Confident in navigating the organization and building relationships
