Our client, a world-leading investment management firm who has a reputation for strong collaboration, work/life balance and pledges around corporate and environmental responsibility. They are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales & Relationship Management Associate initially on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis (with potential to go permanent). This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to efforts of the UK sales department, focusing on the financial intermediary team.

In this role, the successful candidate will provide essential sales support and client servicing to the UK Distribution team. Working closely with the Senior Sales individuals, (both telephone and field-based across multiple regions, primarily in London) you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the region. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, such as preparing and following up on meetings, conducting reporting and research, managing Salesforce, handling pipelines and opportunities, and collaborating with various teams including Marketing, RFP, Operations, and Presentations.

The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Client Service and Sales Support: Deliver high-quality client service and sales support for the team’s intermediary clients and sales teams
  • Client Requests and Reporting: Reply promptly and professionally to any client queriers, as well as preparing necessary materials for client sales pitches, meetings, or events
  • Meeting Preparation: Assist the sales team in preparing for client meetings by ensuring all materials are of a high standard and delivered on time. This involves strong stakeholder management and organisational skills
  • Internal Collaboration: Liaise with Marketing team regarding planned client communication or events and assist with client-related preparation
  • Client Relationship Management: Ensure accurate and timely updating of the CRM system, ensuring that all relevant client data is uploaded and shared with necessary parties
  • Support Other Teams: Occasionally support the Institutional Sales team as well with ad-hoc requests and enquiries

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A genuine interest in Investment Management and a passion for learning about funds, financial markets, and the industry
  • Previous experience in sales support or client services roles within financial services
  • Strong ability to identify and address client needs, leveraging outstanding active listening skills
  • Adaptability to new client information and situations
  • Excellent teamwork skills, partnering effectively with sales colleagues
  • Capacity to manage and deliver on multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building genuine, collaborative relationships
