Bruin are searching for a Frontier Markets Specialist to join our client a global currency and asset management firm. As a Frontier Markets Specialist within the esteemed Frontier and Emerging Markets Investment Team, your primary focus will be on currency and macro analysis, contributing significantly to the formulation and execution of investment strategies and Trades. Your key responsibilities will include:
Focus: Currency and Macro Analysis
- Providing innovative trade ideas , with discretion on tenor and trade size where opportunities arise, and executing these trades effectively.
- Developing and managing relationships with counterparty banks to enhance trading capabilities and market insights.
- Serving as the internal expert for each frontier market, comprehensively understanding key players, market drivers, and currency price levels.
- Actively participating in the frontier/emerging markets product specialist group to influence and shape investment strategies.
- Conducting thorough modelling and structuring of investment ideas to optimize portfolio performance.
- Serving as the internal authority on financial instruments in frontier currencies, covering FX spot/forward, NDF, and cross currency swaps.
- Potential involvement in client meetings, representing the team and providing expert insights as necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with frontier currencies, demonstrating a deep understanding of the market dynamics.
- A strong fundamental understanding of and interest in frontier markets.
- Exceptional modelling and structuring skills to contribute effectively to investment strategies.
- Selfstarter mentality with the ability to conduct independent research and evaluation.
