Our client, an established interdealer-broker boutique, has partnered with us to enhance their team. They specialize in arranging and executing trades for institutional clients (banks, hedge funds) in both listed and OTC equity derivatives markets. As a leading player in their field, they are seeking to bolster their team with skilled middle office trading support. The Middle Office role involves assisting brokers in their daily activities to ensure seamless trading processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Updating client information
  • Tracking market data, updating internal records
  • Booking trades on internal systems
  • Communicating prices
  • Confirming trades
  • Managing trade settlement
  • Producing end-of-day recaps or custom-made insights for clients
  • Information coordination within the team
  • Crossing pre-arranged trades on the markets (after relevant FCA training/exams, if necessary)

Candidate requirements:

  • English spoken and written
  • Proficient with Excel (VBA Coding and/or Python would be a plus)
  • Prior experience in a middle office role (potentially back office)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Numerate
  • Hard-working and focused
  • Eager to learn
  • Being able to deliver in an often fast-paced, pressurized environment
