We are supporting our client, a Lloyds insurer, in their search for a Third Party Claims Team Leader to join their UK Claims department, in their amazing London offices on a full-time, flexible hybrid basis. Working on average 2 days a week in the office and 3 at home, you will be utilising your experience and knowledge of UK Claims and Claims handling within Property & Casualty lines as well as Public Liability and Employers Liability.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing the claims performance and improving their processes, as you grow into the role you will also be afforded new opportunities to be involved in other Claims business. As well as a managing a small team of claims handlers and overseeing the claims processes.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Day to day management of a multi class DA claims team
- Implementation and adherence of efficient DA claims handling policies, procedures, and controls
- Training/mentoring junior members of the team
- Receive and triage first notification of loss
- Liaise with brokers and underwriters.
- Appoint surveyors, lawyers and other experts in order to progress claims within a delegated authority or with the agreement of lead underwriters if exceeded.
The right candidate for this role will have an understanding of the Lloyd’s markets, as this is necessary to successfully process and manage the Claims-related elements of the role. In this role you will ideally have experience in managing a team of claims handlers, and experience in handling claims from cradle to grave.
