My Investment Banking client is looking to add to their Group Financial Reporting team to support on their external financial reporting process.
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office per week)
Type: Permanent
Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 + Bonus & Benefits
This role will provide the opportunity to:
- Oversee the Group's external financial reporting process, providing guidance across all aspects to ensure high-quality deliverables are completed in good time.
- Take ownership of and conduct analytical reviews of complex areas within the Group's external financial reporting, assessing the impact of a variety of financial transactions on the Group’s financial statements.
- Establish and maintain a robust control environment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of consolidated financial information presented in external reports.
- Collaborate with specialists across other functions within the business including finance, risk management, and accounting policy.
- Lead in-depth evaluations of financial reporting areas and spearhead initiatives to enhance and automate reporting processes.
- Explain complex financial concepts to stakeholders up to senior levels through written reports.
To apply for this role, you must have:
- Extensive group financial reporting experience within a large Bank.
- In-depth knowledge of the external reporting requirements for large financial services institutions.
- Strong technical accounting experience, including IFRSs and financial reporting best practice.
- A collaborative approach to working with specialists in other functions across the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to senior management.
- The ability to design and document processes from scratch and maintain continuous improvement.
