My client, a top Investment Bank, is looking for a Product Controller to join their Structured Rates team within Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) in London. There are a number of projects ongoing within the team beyond the BAU aspects of the role so it is a great fit for an experienced Product Controller looking to get involved in a variety of tasks.
Location: London (3 days in office per week)
Type: Permanent
Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 + Bonus & Benefits
This role will provide the opportunity to:
- Act as a link between the Front Office and the rest of the Finance department, utilising specific product knowledge to resolve PnL discrepancies.
- Produce daily PnL for traders, including flash vs actual comparison and other end of day reports.
- Undertake reconciliation to the bank’s ledger systems, attestation of the books and records and other aspects of ensuring the integrity of the banks books and records each month end.
- Produce reports to the wider business on top of ad hoc reporting for Senior Management and Front Office.
- Contribute to a number of projects to improve daily processes and maintain a strong control environment.
To apply for this role, you must have:
- Extensive experience within a Product Control function, covering structured interest rates, note issuance and vanilla options or similar.
- Solid accountancy skills – ideally as a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong systems experience including advanced Excel, knowledge of VBA and Python would be a plus
- Good communication skills – especially with Front Office
- Effective time-management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines under significant time pressure.
