My client, a leading insurer, is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Analyst in their Accounts Payable team, responsible for processing and paying invoices and employee expenses.
Salary: up to £35,000 depending on experience
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office per week)
Type: Permanent

Responsibilities in this role include:
- Handle purchase invoices, expense claims, and requisitions, converting them into purchase orders.
- Set up and update supplier, employee, and bank account information within the AP system.
- Reconcile supplier statements, credit card, and petty cash expenses, and process accounts payable journals.
- Manage invoice and payment queries, maintain the team mailbox, and ensure timely authorisation and payment of invoices.
- Conduct weekly payment runs, process manual payments, and oversee fixed asset control.
- Support process improvement initiatives and maintain the AP system, including regular testing.

- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational ability.
- Excel skills (VLOOKUP and SUMIF)
- Strong communication skills, able to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to perform under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and identifying and resolving problems in good time.
- Prior experience in an Accounts Payable role would be a massive plus.
