Are you an experienced Cargo Underwriter looking to advance your career with a dynamic and innovative insurer? Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and manage new and renewal cargo business, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk appetite
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to secure new opportunities and drive business growth
- Analyse risks, prepare quotations, and negotiate terms and conditions to achieve profitable results
- Monitor and review existing accounts, providing technical support and guidance where needed
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as claims, actuarial, and risk management, to ensure seamless service delivery
- Attend market events and client meetings to promote the company’s cargo offering and build a network within the industry
- Support junior team members and assist in their professional development
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cargo underwriting, with a strong understanding of the marine insurance market
- Relevant qualifications (ACII or working towards it preferred)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Analytical mindset with a focus on detail and the ability to assess complex risks
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
