Our client is a global investment bank. Due to continued company growth and success, they are seeking a Director – Product Control & Valuation to join the business on a permanent basis in their Paris office.

Playing a crucial role in the firm’s Global Markets Finance team, the Director – Product Control & Valuation will take responsibility for the following duties:

  • Understanding the financial products, market risk profile and risk mitigation techniques and strategies within the firm’s EU legal entities
  • Reviewing the daily and monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Reviewing and challenging the Valuation Control execution and documentation
  • Provide financial insight and partner with Trading colleagues to optimise business performance
  • Coordinating senior management and regulatory business initiatives to ensure there is cross regional consistencies 
  • Engage in ad-hoc project work to drive efficiency and enhancement to routines
  • The direct report of one VP level staff member

The Director – Product Control & Valuation will meet the following criteria:

  • Proven experience working in a global bank
  • Exposure to global markets
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
  • Proven valuation analysis work experience, including complex financials product knowledge
  • Comfortable in both financial accounting and regulatory reporting concepts
  • Excellent Excel skills with experience of Alteryx, Python and / or Tableau
