We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading asset manager to hire a Head of UK Investment Trust Marketing on a 4 – 6 month contract basis to spearhead marketing efforts for their diverse portfolio of investment trusts, managing billions in assets. This is a unique opportunity to develop and execute a marketing strategy that showcases these funds, which target high-growth areas across LatAm, Africa and more.
This strategic role is ideal for a highly experienced marketing professional looking to drive impactful campaigns within the investment management sector, connecting with both wealth management and retail investors. Reporting to the UK Head of Marketing, you will play a key role in defining and leading initiatives that enhance brand visibility and grow distribution across the UK market.
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Owning the overarching marketing strategy to position these investment trusts for success, driving distribution and engagement with wealth advisors as well as self-directed investors.
- Developing and deliver targeted marketing campaigns for each trust. This includes seasonal promotions, such as ISA-focused campaigns, and bespoke marketing initiatives for wealth and retail client segments.
- Overseeing the marketing budget for the investment trusts, allocating resources effectively to maximise campaign impact and ensuring thorough tracking and reconciliation.
- Working closely with external media agencies, content teams, and CRM specialists to create and implement campaigns that resonate with clients, utilising a variety of channels to capture audience interest.
- Building strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including investment and product specialists, PR, and compliance, to ensure alignment and effective campaign delivery.
- Regularly report to trust boards on the effectiveness of marketing efforts, and continually look for innovative ways to elevate the brand and its product offerings.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong in marketing within the UK financial services sector, ideally within asset management, banking, or wealth management.
- Solid understanding of fund structures, including Investment Trusts, OEICs, and Unit Trusts.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and a keen eye for detail to ensure delivery.
- Proven experience in project leadership and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to manage relationships across senior-level stakeholders.
- Able to operate effectively in a dynamic environment, adapting to shifts in strategy and project priorities as needed.
- Strong investment knowledge (IMC certification preferred).
