Sous Chef, B&I London £38k Monday to Friday
Our client is looking for a passionate and food focused Sous Chef to support the running of the kitchen at this site based in EC1 London.
Catering for staff dining as well as ad hoc hospitality (working lunches/client lunches etc), the kitchen provides a breakfast and lunch service. All food is freshly prepared and based on up to date trends and concepts.
So what will you be doing? As the Sous Chef, you will
* Support the Head Chef with the running of the kitchen
* Be involved in creating innovative menus for staff dining as well as upscaling the hospitality offer
* Produce hospitality food with finesse
* Support with paperwork, ordering and stock take
* Ensure compliance and due diligence in the kitchen
Working hours are Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
Salary will increase to £40k in April
What we are looking for in a candidate:
* A strong Sous Chef with a genuine passion for food and customer service
* Ideally experience in B&I catering – knowledge and understanding of corporate catering
* Excellent eye for detail and presentation with finesse
* Up to date with food trends and concepts
* Ability to take responsibility for the kitchen and day to day running
* Able to work well within a team as well as use initiative
* Flexibility and a positive attitude
